Yvonne - my love, my Valentine

This is my 100th post on Blogger! And I've saved it for my - yes, Yvonne the GUNDIK!! Yvonne, I couldn't make it to the party but I'll make it up to you with an extra sweet post that is sure to melt the coldest icing in your heart (not that there are many, or even ANY xD).

Yvonne - my LOVE , my Valentine! I know le I always suan you, con you, perli you . . . scold you shout at you scream at you get annoyed with you - wahh so many!! But I know you don't mind - that's why I do it so often in the first place.

But but you know . . . the most important thing deep down in my heart is that I LOVE you! And I know you love me too k. More than I love you, I'm sure XP (Just that you always don't wanna admit how much you love me!) And I know and will always remember that you wanna be my *secret* and you will bake and cook for me everyday! Remember ha don't later forget everything k o.O

We've been close friends since Form 2. You still talk as much, if not MORE. Sigh, thank you for talking so much . . . until I don't have to talk sometimes and the convo still flows - because you're talking to yourself. =.=! I know la you cannot control your chui but you must stand farther away from me la k. I keep thinking you want to kiss me nia, stand until so near =X

Somemore what ah . . . Oh, you're getting smarter d. Looks like hanging out with me made you a brighter person! You are not so easy to con anymore lo. Now you can tell when I'm being sarcastic. You're not as silly as Cherylene, who never ever fails to believe what I say wan =P Although . . . just give me a moment to suan you k. You must've noticed that this post is written in very SIMPLE English! Because aiyo I know you la, later I write too chim you sure don't understand wan.
=X
=X
=O
XO
=P
XD

So here's to you, a toast to the girl with the FRIDGE RABBIT!!
~HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY DARLING~
(You know what this means.
Yeah - that I expect you to be driving me around soon.)

And and I have no photo with you so I steal this one from Ee Vern's blog okay!? Since you said anyway, your 'pretty face' o.O *more perasan than me*

I'm sure you're very touched and overwhelmed by my sincerity! I'm very good at writing sweet things wan k, unlike Cherylene who can only say nice, sweet things to . . . EVERYDAY. *beh syok* I LOVE YOU YVONNE (make sure you pass your driving test fast enough ahh) I will sing to you everyday (as long as you're willing to transport me around) and I love you unconditionally (as long as removing the conditions will still give me my way)

K.E.L.U.A.R.G.A.

In conjuction with the upcoming Family/Father/Parent's Day . . .

I'm sure a lot of people have heard that
F-A-M-I-L-Y = Father And Mother I Love You.

Well, put together a syarahan entitled Keluarga Penyayang and a group presentation and this is what you get:

Kasih
Emak
Luas
Umpama
Api
Raksasa
Gemar
Air

And if you're wondering, "What in the world does that even mean??"
Well, we're not very sure either - but it certainly gave us a good laugh!

World Environment Day

Last week, when a friend asked me to join a team in a competition -

Me: Do what mia?
Friend: Bio competition.
Me: Eyer duwan la, must study everything ALL over again.
Friend: No no, Puan Chang said only chapter eight and nine.
Me: *o.O* Eh, isn't that . . . the easy easy wan?
Friend: Yeah, exactly. It's not difficult ma.
Me: Um, how wan ah?
Friend: Objective questions, 50 of them.
Me: Hmm . . . Free ah??
Friend: Yeah la, no need to pay.
Me: Ooh. Okay!

So. I went home and didn't do anything about it until last Wednesday morning - 3rd June (day of the competition). I didn't finish chapter nine though. Anyway . . . Jonie and I tumpang Phaik Chern to INTI (competition place). When we got there, I really didn't expect us to win anything much, or anything at all. After all, I syok syok join nia.

Then we were asked to go to the "MPH" (Me: Hah? MPH??) - "Multi-Purpose Hall" (Me: OHH cheyyy.) where we sat down at tables. And on the tables were sheets of objective answer . . . sheets. I already had my Bio book with me - yeah the thick, green one. All I didn't have was the question paper, or I would've happily started my own open-book test. After much ado, we were asked to split and sit further apart. Sadly enough, we weren't allowed to have our book with us. No open-book test for me boohoo. Then we were handed the question paper and off we went!

It was not so much a Biology test as it was a World Environment Day test. I realized it only after I reached the, um - 10+th question. (Adui, why I go and read all the colonisation-succession *bla bla bla*??) After the pollutants part was over, there were questions like: How many people starve to death each day? How do I know?? Nobody knows that! I mean, do you?? There was also: What is the world's population number? I answered 10 billion. The answer was 5 billion. =.= Anyway, it lasted for about an hour. A lot of the questions were NOT related to what I had so hurriedly read earlier that morning.

They announced the results after our tea break. Individual winners were announced first. Guess what! Our very own Menakaa got FIRST PLACE! Boy, was I happy for her. What a very pleasant surprise. She didn't even read anything! Jonie was going, "At least our school get something la hahahah!". And I was going "Yayaya." After that, they begin to announce the winners for overall best groups, and I begin to feel this tiny spark of hope, that we were going to get something after all.

Heheh, mana tau! They announce announce d, and we turned out as the champion!! Oh, I was so so happy I squealed like a dunno what. Wah, I really didn't expect anything k. We got a group trophy and RM100. Plus a hammock. Yes, a hammock. ONE hammock. What, they think we girls have some compressible body mechanism? That we, the 5 of us, can all fit into ONE hammock? XD
Nevertheless, it was ours, and I am PROUD we won!! Well, here are some photos I took with my handphone.

Top: Empty envelope bearing the words GROUP CHAMPION
(LOL they're gonna send our money to the school la.)
Bottom left: Menakaa's first place trophy
Bottom right: Our group champion trophy

Here, take it in. Take it all in.
(GROUP CHAMPION!)

Still snug in it's envelope - our purple hammock.
It's purple. AND it's ours XD

This is their sandcastle competition winner.
No, we didn't build it - just thought it was interesting.

An army troop marching out of the sandcastle (or in?)

And finally, US! The brilliant, wonderful environmentalists of the day!
All smiles, as you can see.
And if you notice the height curve . . .

If singing could kill...

If singing could kill . . .
We would've murdered all the customers at Gurney Plaza!!
Seriously. A whole lot of us attended (Lim) Carmen's birthday celebration at GP's Red Box last Thursday. And the noise level created by those of us who were present was unbelievable! No wonder people couldn't stop staring. They were probably wondering if we were carrying out some violent slaughtering ritual.
So when we started out all of us were screaming at the top of our lungs into the microphones (or just into space, if for those who didn't have any). We sang all sorts of songs; from male songs to female songs and Western songs to Eastern songs, and then we were feeling chin-chia song but I'm sure the people outside were thinking chin-chia pai tia . . . Okay I dunno how bad it really was because I certainly was a part of it as well!
And we were supposed to eat lunch there, but the Red Box man said that after 12 o'clock NO MORE LUNCH! Who eats lunch before 12?? Some people also never wake up yet!! So we had to tar pao from McDonald's! Not that I minded. But the woman at the counter was so beh syok beh syok us like that. Maybe she was jealous of our wonderful voices? Yes, that must have been it.
Then we got back into our Red Box. And continued singing our hearts/lungs out. However, you know how time flies when you're having fun. So before long, it was almost time to go. And that's when our beloved Pauline made her grand arrival! Just in time for our closing ceremony. Wow, Pauline your timing too chun already!
And even when the time for us to leave came, none of us would stop singing. It was like all of us were in a trance, all holding hands and just singing and not wanting to stop, like we would die if we did! All right, that wasn't really what it was like. So give or take 50% accuracy.
That was not all that happened *grins* but I'm too lazy to go on! Thank you and goodnight!
*I don't have any pictures! Ee Vern and Amanda do; bother THEM! =P

Change is good.

I don't feel so bad about having to leave school anymore.
Leaving school means cutting ties with old friends,
but where some friendships end - others begin.
That doesn't sound so bad after all, does it?
Change is good. Change is exciting. Change is refreshing.
Besides, what good are friends if they make you feel horrible?
Friends? FRENEMIES, more like.
I hate all of you.
Actually, I can't wait to leave Form 5!
To leave it all behind, and start anew.
(Well, not ALL.)
Certain memories I'd like to keep,
but there is so much more that I'd like to forget.

In the meantime, I'll just live my life to the fullest!

Friends Forever

One reason I liked this song the moment I heard it: it sounds so peculiarly similar to Pachelbel's Canon In D!! I've never bothered to find out what the lyrics are all about, until very recently. And they affected me very greatly because, well, that's exactly what's happening to us! So here it is.

And here are the lyrics.

And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out 'cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now 'cause you don't have another day
'Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound
(And I keep thinking of the night in June
I didn't know much of love, but it came too soon
And there was me and you, and then it got real blue
Stay at home talkin' on the telephone and
We would get so excited, we'd get so scared
Laughing at ourselves thinking life's not fair)

And this is how it feels

As we go on, we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change, come whatever
We will still be, friends forever

So if we get the big jobs and we make the big money
When we look back now, will that joke still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule?
(Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man?
Can Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan?
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly)

And this is how it feels

As we go on, we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change, come whatever
We will still be, friends forever

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women (and men)
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

As we go on, we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change, come whatever
We will still be, friends forever
(I hope)

I know these aren't my own words, (and some parts of aren't related to us anyhow) but most of it are things that I'd like to express to all my classmates of these many years!
And I freaking hope they don't try and sing this song on the last day of school. I'll never stop crying!!

LOL

She said it.
Right out loud, she said it.

Ee Lynn: CARTOON.
Ms. Lee: What cartoon?? I am not a cartoon!
 . . . cartoonist . . .
(something something I couldn't catch because I was laughing so hard)

I don't even remember what we were talking about in the first place!
Oh my gosh, sooo funny! Ee Lynn you're so silly =P Why did you say it so LOUD??
Ahahahah, I'll remember that until I get Alzhiemer's.

Relay For Life

Lately I've been getting urges to do crazy/bizarre things. Like when Rachel inivted all of us to go dragon-boating. I got really, really excited and I really, really looked forward to it. Then she cancelled! I was so disappointed! I mean, when will I ever get another chance like that one? All right. Whatever. It's gone, it's over. Now here's another chance to do something crazy.
A relay for life. A walk to save cancer patients. A 16-hour walkathon. From 6pm to 10am the next morning. I'm dying to go! But they require 10 people per group. And I don't have that 10 people. So I am in search of people, who for some strange reason, also feel a need to do something crazy! Here's the website if you wanna find out more. The event falls on the weekend the March term break begins. Please leave a comment if you're interested! Really!! =[
Imagine walking together, beginning in the evening, through the middle of the night, until past daybreak the next morning!! We will be friends for LIFE after having gone through such an ordeal together!

Charity cupcakes =/

Oh, I am such a busy person. I haven't done any updating for about a month because, well, I AM A BUSY PERSON!! All right, I'm not actually as significant a person as I have just made myself sound. But I'm a much, much more disciplined person this year than ever! I've cut down sooo much on my excessive afternoon naps and online time. I'm now always trying to finish my homework the very day I get it. It seems that I needed 10 years to get the meaning of DISCIPLINE!
Okay so here I am today. I'm not sure when I will update again, but for now...
Let me present the title of the day:
CHARITY CUPCAKES
They're pretty!! Here, take a look:

I initially thought that this was a rather abstract, artistic pattern...
until Renee told me that it was merely a failed attempt to draw a heart!!

See, isn't it pretty??

Same one, bird's view.

And of course, the simplest, yet oh-so-charming one! <3

Yes, yes, Renee made them for me. (It seems that she has finally found her one talent after all! =P) And do you know why she made them for ME? Out of  pure intention to strengthen the bond between us?? NO!! She wants me to buy the CAR WASH TICKETS she has to sell for the Interact Club! 10 of 'em. At RM10! What, am I supposed to wash my car 10 times???
. . .
Hence the title, 'charity cupcakes'.
I have to buy them. And I get a free car wash. Not bad, actually.

I love you too, Renee!
You make a good charity-cupcake maker!!
=D

Yellow House??

Lee Julin is gone, and so are the other ex-captains. However, the show must go on! So what do we do? Of course, the obvious! We replace them, as we do every year. Of course, nobody will be a finer leader than Julin was, but there must be someone who has to step up to the responsibility of leading Yellow House! So this year, we have Amee Shamim (not so sure about the spelling =/) and Tasnim as her. . .'vice-captain' (??) !

Also, (I proudly announce that) two of my close friends - namely Ooi Hui Lynn and Rachel Chan (Renee: Captain S.T. Chan!!!) were elected as the captains of Green and Red House respectively! Bravo, bravo, and CONGRATULATIONS! May they be as awesome leaders as they are friends!!
>> Feel so giddy with pride lalala~

Oh, oh, and I am Yellow House mia Secretary =o

What people say about me: I

Last day of school...
I stepped out of the school grounds, thinking with a heavy heart and a sad realization that this would be the last time doing this ever. Never again would we exit school feeling so carefree and blissful. We definitely won't be experiencing the same joy next year...

In acknowledge of the end of this schooling year, here are...little 'snippets' of autographs collected from classmates and close friends!! Be sure to note that I have made it a point to include all the sweetest stuff! =)
(But of course I will be excluding stuff which I have deemed too personal and therefore unsuitable as material for public reading =X)

PINK FOODS FRENZY!!

Tonight was the last lesson for Chemistry tuition this year.
Ee Lynn a.k.a. Miss Brilliant decided that we should celebrate and have a party!!
So she made it compulsory for ALL of us to bring food of some kind.

(*We were halfway through it all when somebody pointed out that everything we were eating was PINK in colour!!)
So, yes I think we had alot of fun over-dosing on sugar (but Renee and Natasha complained later on that they were 'feeling like vomitting' after that - Ee Lynn and I were fine!! XP)

How to pay any attention, with all that food???
So we got reprimanded, ALOT of times!! The teacher said that we ''have never seen food in our lives".
Well, there was alot more munching and giggling around than learning or listening...
=X

And...
Credits to Natasha and Ee Lynn and Renee (and myself *wink*),
for making Pink Foods Frenzy Night such a success!!

PINK FOODS FRENZY NIGHT
(so named because...)

Tada!!

Mamma Mia!

Went out with Tricia and gang to GP to celebrate her birthday yesterday. And we went to watch MAMMA MIA! I didn't know what to expect at first - the title doesn't tell you very much, does it? All I knew was that it's a musical and it's a MUST-WATCH because it's got tonnes of good actors and actresses in it (Like Phaik Chern's MERYL STREEP XP).
The movie was so lively. The energy was just infectious! The characters were all so enthusiastic; even almost middle-aged women screaming and running about! How not to smile seeing all that? XD The songs were lovely! There wasn't much of a plot/storyline, but yesss I loved the movie!!

Well, the movie was great, but after I left the party of people, everything just went downhill for me. When we got into the car I had a nasty row with my brother and soon the three of us - along with my mother - were all just screaming at each other. It's not very nice at all. When we got home I had a good cry. Now I know why I had that wonderful Wednesday - so that it would all be balanced out with my weekend. *sigh* It's not just the weekend anyway...Kinda begin on Thurday - right after I had my Best Day of the Year, worsened on Friday, and reached its peak yesterday...Can't get any worse from here. Hopefully.

It's a happy daaaayyyy~! =P

Today was a great day! Couldn't have been better =D
Here is the list of things that made my day:

1) During assembly, I returned Julin the black top I borrowed from her a long, long time ago. She took it, said her thanks and proceeded to ask me if I was still playing in PESSOC, and if I would be going for the music camp this year. She told me to go, because it's free! No, it doesn't matter if it was free or wasn't - the point is that she spoke to me!! Great start already! =P

2) During English, Pn. Yon - aside from calling me long-winded because I said 'not anything' instead of 'nothing', and also doubting that 'egotistical' was a real word (she tot I so free go con her??) =.= gave me an A+ for my (Ideal Husband) essay, said that it was very interesting, and that I "can really - ...!" No, she didn't finish the sentence, but I didn't need her to - I was already feeling so happy!

3) I have to go out 5 minutes before recess everyday to do my canteen duty. Today, when I asked Pn. Salmah for permission to leave the class, she was so nice about it!
She was like,
"Ya, nak pergi mana, sayang?"
"Minta maaf, cikgu, saya kena ke kantin untuk buat duty."
"Oh ya kena keluar awal 5 minit kan?"
"Yaya."
"Okey pergi pergi."
"Terima kasih, cikgu."
"Sama-sama."
And it was not like she sounded very sarcastic or had that very sarcastic grin of hers on her face; no, she sounded so nice! (Yes - well, it's not a big deal at all, but I was so happy with my day already that every little thing seemed so wonderful~!) And when I reached the canteen, guess what I saw?? Yes, the rows of such colourful cakes - some of the primary school students had a cake decorating competition! What better sign than prettily decorated cakes, to show that my day was going to be simply wonderful??

4) The Bio presentation today couldn't have gone any better! I felt so proud of our team and myself and it left me feeling doubly happier (if possible! =P). Yvonne told me that we were the best team for the day and that I was so cute and she also said that my slides looked so professional. *none of my business - all credits to Jolene; she did it for me =)* Carmen also said during Ms. Lee's that my presentation today was so fun. Yay! XP

5) I reached home from school, checked my phone, and read a text message from my mother. It said that she has already been discharged, though she will be on medication which will 'slowly heal the ulcers'. The doctors could not diagnose anything for her kidney - tests taken only showed vague results. But what matters is that she's already out of the hospital~

6) Piano lesson today was lovely too. There was alot of smiling and laughing and I managed to convince my oh-so-cute teacher into spending the first half of my lesson playing demo for some songs for me 'to see if I like or not' XP  It was lovely watching him play; I always like watching him play =)

I guess that's it. Oh how I loved today~! Why don't I have more days like this?? If only I did, I'd be so much better a person...

And oh, the only bad thing that happened today was that when I went to pay Ms. Lee tuition fees, she said, "Where is your silly name?"
...
...
Hahaha it's not very bad at all, considering everything else that happened today!
I'm happy, happy, happy~
It's got to be the BEST DAY OF THE YEAR!!

It's a happy daaayyy,
and I thank God for the weather...
(Yesss Esther dear, I still remember the SONG XP)
